The Meharry Harm Reduction Center provides services and programs throughout Tennessee, including metropolitan areas and rural areas alike. As a harm reduction center, we provide a non-judgmental and evidence-based approach to our practices and programs that aim to minimize the adverse health, social and legal impacts of drug use, drug policies, and drug laws.

OUR CLINIC SERVICES
The Meharry Harm Reduction Center provides services to individuals Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30.
Our clinic accepts walk-in patients, as well as appointments. We accept most insurance plans, and provide services to the uninsured.
Screening & Treatment
Our team offers screenings and assessments for addictions. This includes approaches that lead to safer use, moderation, or abstinence—depending on the individual’s desires and outcome needs.
Individual & Group Counseling
We offer counseling for substance use disorder, as well peer support from recovery professionals to develop coping skills and heal from interwoven experiences of violence, abuse, substance use, mental health problems, and housing instability.
Case Management & Referrals
For those on the road to recovery, we offer a wide-range of supportive needs and case management services which include healthcare arrangements, financial assistance, mental health services, employment, and housing.

OUR PROJECTS
The Meharry Harm Reduction Center consists of several clinics designed to serve uninsured and unhoused people who use drugs. Through our centers and community partners, we have several projects throughout the state of Tennessee.
- NASHVILLE PROJECTS- The Meharry Addiction Clinic is the centerpiece to all of our service projects. In the clinic, we provide low-barrier medication for opioid use disorder. We provide easy access to care and providing services to uninsured individuals and more.
- RURAL TN- The Rural Opioid and Alcohol Medication (ROAM) program provides medication for opioid use disorder support for rural counties and providers, such as Cheatham County which is currently the county with the highest overdose rate in the state of Tennessee.
- MEMPHIS PROJECTS- The Meharry Harm Reduction Center provides services and trainings in partnership with our community providers to provide services that are much needed including HIV and HCV testing, as well as harm reduction supplies distribution.

Hellbender Harm Reduction improves wellbeing and builds solidarity in Tennessee by providing harm reduction supplies and advancing policies that support people who use drugs.
A Betor Way
A Betor Way is a mobile harm reduction service program operating in the Memphis, TN area. A Betor Way provides services including syringe access, overdose prevention, education, and rapid testing.
Partnership to End AIDS Status
Partnership to End AIDS Status PEAS Inc. delivers services and comprehensive HIV/HCV testing and education to the most highly affected communities during vulnerable hours and in non-traditional settings.

Clínica Médicos is a medical clinic modeled after global mission hospitals with Chattanooga as their urban mission ground. Their ambition is to solve the complex challenges of health care.

The Tennessee Center for AIDS Research leverages complementary strengths of its four partner institutions to have broad and substantial impact on the HIV epidemic.
